Pickens County Drug Arrest

Agents with the Pickens County Sheriff's Office Special Operation Unit conducted an undercover investigation in Pickens County, leading to multiple drug warrants being issued for Brett William Ferguson.

On 08/16/2023, deputies with the Pickens County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Unit and members of the Community Action Team executed a residential search warrant at Ferguson's home.

As a result, Brett William Ferguson was found to be in possession of a revolver and a trafficking weight of fentanyl. Furthermore, Jay Logan Marks, who was also on scene, was found to be in possession of an intent to distribute weight of heroin.

Brett William Ferguson and Jay Logan Marks were arrested on the following charges:

Brett William Ferguson:

• Trafficking Fentanyl – 1st Offense.

• (3 counts) Distribution of Fentanyl.

• Possession of Weapon During Violent Crime.

Jay Logan Marks:

• Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl – 3rd Offense.
