Local Pastor is Sworn in as Newest PCSO Chaplain

On Thursday, August 10, 2023, Sheriff Rick Clark swore in Pastor Earl Reid as our newest Chaplain at the Pickens County Sheriff's Office.

A Pickens County native, Pastor Reid has been the Pastor of Peters Creek Baptist Church in Marietta for the last twenty-one years.

The Pickens County Sheriff's Office Chaplains are crucial in providing emotional and spiritual support to our deputies and the community. They offer counseling, lead religious services, provide guidance during challenging situations, and help bridge the gap between law enforcement and the public. Their presence helps our officers cope with stress, trauma, and difficult decisions they may face in their line of duty.
