Pickens County Drug Arrest

On 06/21/2023, deputies with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office Community Action Team conducted a traffic stop on Black Snake Road in Easley.

The vehicle’s driver was identified as Zachary Wade Brooks, whose driver’s license was suspended.

K-9 Unit, Boss, with the Pickens Police Department, responded to the scene and provided a positive alert on Brooks’ vehicle.

Upon further investigation, Brooks was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and an intent to distribute quantity of methamphetamine.

Due to collaborative efforts of the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office and the Pickens Police Department, Zachary Wade Brooks was arrested on the following charges:

• Driving Under Suspension – 1st Offense.

• Uninsured Motor Vehicle Violation – 1st Offense.

• (Two Counts) Possession of a Controlled Substance – 1st Offense.

• Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine – 1st Offense.
