Pickens County Drug Arrest

On 08/17/2023, deputies with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol (Kilo Team) responded to a six mile home regarding a burglary in progress.

Upon arrival, deputies identified the intruders as Frederick Leon Chandler and Pamela Gail Merck.

Upon further investigation, Merck was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and an intent to distribute weight of Heroin.

Chandler and Merck were arrested on the following charges:

Frederick Leon Chandler:

• Burglary – 3rd Degree.

Pamela Gail Merck:

• Burglary 3rd Degree.

• Possession of Methamphetamine – 1st Offense.

• Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin – 1st Offense.
