Pickens County Drug Arrest

On 10/03/2023, deputies with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol Division (Echo Team) conducted a traffic stop on Earle Road in Central.

The vehicle’s driver was identified as Carl Buchanan Andrews, accompanied by David Houston Barton.

K9 Unit Shadow, responded to the scene and provided a positive alert on Andrews’ vehicle.

Upon further investigation, Andrews and Barton were found to be in possession of a trafficking weight of methamphetamine.

Carl Buchanan Andrews and David Houston Barton were arrested on the following charges:

Carl Buchanan Andrews:

• Trafficking Methamphetamine – 1st Offense.

• Possession of a Weapon During Violent Crime.

David Huston Barton:

• Trafficking Methamphetamine – 1st Offense.
